The roof of a building in downtown Washington, D.C. caught on fire Tuesday morning as voters headed to the polls across the nation's capital to cast their vote for the next president of the United States.
Two separate fire precincts were alerted to the incident after an air conditioner unit burst in flames, according to the D.C. Fire and EMS broadcast. An emergency helicopter was also dispatched to the scene. The building is currently under construction.

The building formerly housed both the conservative media outlet The Weekly Standard and the right-leaning non-profit American Enterprise Institute.
There are no reported injuries and the fire has since been contained.
