New Jersey Governor Chris Christie defended billionaire philanthropists Charles and David Koch during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference Thursday, rebuking recent attacks from Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid.
"What [Democrats] are for in Washington D.C. is to have the leader of the Senate Democrats stand up and rail against two American entrepreneurs who have built a business, created jobs, and created wealth and philanthropy in this country," Christie said.
"Harry Reid needs to get back to work and stop picking on great Americans who are creating great things in this country."
Last week Reid labeled the Kochs, who have given hundreds of millions of dollars to cancer research, as "about as un-American" as anyone he can imagine.
