Rhode Island State Senator Threatens Policeman During DUI Stop

During a DUI stop for Democratic Rhode Island State Sen. Dominick Ruggerio last week, a fellow senator, Democrat Frank Ciccone, threatened the police, reports EastBayRI.com:

At 12:09 Wednesday morning, March 28, Patrolman Walter Larson stopped a vehicle driven by Senate Majority Leader Dominick Ruggerio — the legislator was eventually charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and refusing to submit to a chemical test.

While Sen. Ruggerio was struggling to complete his field sobriety test, his fellow legislator, Sen. Frank Ciccone, was allegedly threatening legislative actions against one of the arresting officers. [...]

While making the calls, Sen. Ciccone allegedly said to Patrolman Gregorzek "You think you got pension problems now, wait ‘til this (expletive deleted) is all done. This guy voted against you last time, it ain’t gonna get any better now."
