Hardship License for Obama Uncle Facing Deportation

Subject of DUI Manages Liquor Store

President Barack Obama’s embattled uncle Onyango Obama has been granted a hardship driver’s license in Massachusetts one week after he lost the right to drive for 45 days due to an August DUI arrest. According to the AP:

The license granted Monday allows 67-year-old Onyango (ohn-YAHN'-goh) Obama to drive from noon to midnight to get to work as manager of a Framingham liquor store.

A Registry spokeswoman tells the Boston Herald that Obama "met all of the criteria" to qualify for the hardship license, including proof he was enrolled in an alcohol treatment program.

Obama is the half brother of the president's late father.
