Former Dallas Police Chief Ignores 'The View' Questioning Trump's Impact on Police Relations

Former Dallas Police Chief David Brown ignored "The View" co-host Joy Behar's question Tuesday on whether police relations are improving with the public under Donald Trump's presidency.

"We do have now a president ... law and order is his mantra," Behar said to Brown. "So, do you think police relations are getting better with the public, or what? Is he helping, is he hurting, what do you think?"

Instead of discussing Trump's influence on police relations, Brown talked about why he initially went into law enforcement. He also encouraged others who want to make an impact on the situations at hand to do something rather than protest or become frustrated.

"When we talk about how relationships have improved and the frustration of every video kind of discouraging us, I would say, put some skin in the game if you want things to change," Brown said.

He did not comment on how Trump has affected police relations with the public.
