The president of the Windsor, CT school board is calling for the resignation of Christopher Watts, a Democratic school board member in Windsor, CT who was arrested March 29 in a child sex sting in Florida. According to the Hartford Courant:
Watts, 38, was arrested in Florida March 29 and charged with using the Internet to entice a minor to illegal sexual activity, according to federal prosecutors.
According to court documents filed in Florida, Watts responded to a posting in a public chat room that stated "dad has daughter." The posting was made by an undercover law enforcement official investigating a public website.
Watts allegedly told the undercover officer that it was a "big fantasy" of his to have sex with a 14-year-old girl and sent an explicit picture of himself to the undercover officer to confirm his interest in engaging in sexual activity with the minor, according to authorities in Florida.
Watts, a Democrat, has been on the school board since 2005. He is married and has one daughter.
