Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is headed to "The View."
Scaramucci, 53, will guest co-host the daytime ABC show for the first "Guy Day Friday" of Season 21. He will also join the co-hosts for a "Hot Topics" table for the entire hour on Sept. 22, according to Page Six.
"The View" co-host Joy Behar first tried to book Scaramucci for the show prior to his firing in late July, and later spoke to Scaramucci the day he left the White House.
"I did speak to him," Behar said. "I was trying to get him on the show. We're Paesans together, so I called him and we had a very interesting conversation."
"Unfortunately, he learned from the New Yorker interview how to say the words 'off the record,' so I can't tell you too much," she added. "Also, I'm under FBI surveillance at this point. We had a great conversation, very juicy information—but I can't say it."
Behar said the two bonded and that she found him to be intelligent.
"His mood was great … we totally bonded over a lot of [things]," she said. "The Italian slurs going around—people keep calling him a guido, but this guy went to Harvard! He's not dumb."
