Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.) told CNN's Candy Crowley Sunday he has "grave reservations" about defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel and called him wrong in his stances on Iraq, Iran, Israel and nuclear weapons.
He also rebuked the Obama administration for trying to rush the confirmation process without giving Republicans time to vet Hagel properly.
"This president said we have the most transparent administration in the history of the country," Barrasso said. "Then why are they trying to hide and not allow us to get some information so we can vote a week from now?"
Barrasso added that he absolutely plans to vote against Hagel's confirmation.
