MSNBC host Joy Reid accused Israel of killing "the population equivalent of one hundred 9/11s" in Gaza.
Reid played the now-infamous clip of U.N. Relief and Works Agency spokesman Chris Gunness sobbing on-camera while describing Israel's attacks on Gaza, which has led some to call into question his neutrality in the conflict.
Reid criticized the U.N., saying their "condemnations and expressions of outrage have done absolutely nothing to protect civilians in Gaza." She quoted U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon calling Israel's shelling of a U.N. school a "moral outrage and a criminal act," but pointed out that U.N. calls for a cease-fire have accomplished nothing.
"At this point, the U.N. can't even protect the civilians hiding in its elementary schools," said Reid.
