The Washington Free Beacon’s Ellison Barber provided crucial insight to the Mississippi senate runoff race Tuesday on Fox News’ Happening Now.
Thad Cochran, U.S. Senator of Mississippi for six terms, is running against Tea Partier Chris McDaniel. Barber called the Tea Party-Establishment feud "a mischaracterization." She explained, "…when we’re discussing whether or not there’s this big battle of the GOP establishment and Tea Party, I think what we’re talking about is whether or not the big D.C. groups are still important , still relevant, and still have clout."
She said that while McDaniel is "really well positioned" for the race, the election is tighter than ever. The race will "come down to the wire," Barber predicted.
