Alison Lundergan Grimes is refusing to discuss her relationship with Elmer George, a campaign contributor and member of the Kentucky Legislative Ethics Commission, and his son, who works on Grimes’ campaign, Page One Kentucky reports.
The connection between the George and Grimes families is suspicious, given that George cast the deciding vote letting Lundergan Grimes family friend and contributor John Arnold off the hook for sexually harassing minority women in the Kentucky government.
George’s son, Elmer George, Jr., works for Grimes’ campaign and has made at least $2,332.83 since Dec. 31.
The George and Grimes families are very close, according to Page One Kentucky. Elmer George Jr. promoted a store opened by one of Alison’s sisters in a Facebook post. He has also promoted several of Lundergan Grimes’ campaign events.
