Despite multiple warnings from the United States, Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has released 65 Taliban members from prison, CBS reports.
The Pentagon has labeled the prisoners as Taliban fighters and warned they would return to active duty if released. Karzai ordered the release of the prisoners once the Afghanistan government assumed control of the prison a few weeks ago.
