W. Va. Dems Bail on Obama

Prominent Democrats are continuing to express reticence about President Obama, citing his "misguided policies" and other factors as reasons to possibly vote against him.

Democratic West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin said yesterday that although he is a "loyal member of the Democratic Party," he remains skeptical of Obama’s "misguided policies," accordingto the Charleston Daily Mail.

"President Obama has apparently made it his mission to drive the backbone of West Virginia's economy, coal and the energy industry, out of business," Tomblin said. "That will not only hurt thousands of West Virginia families, it will destroy the economic fabric of our state."

Sen. Joe Manchin, another West Virginia Democrat, also recently said that he is not sure if he’ll vote for Obama in November.

"I am just waiting for it to play out. I am not jumping in one way or another," Manchin said in a recent interview with the National Journal. "I'm worried about me. I've said it's not a team sport. You need to go out and work for yourself."
