Harry Reid may want to call it quits in 2016.
Elections expert Larry Sabato said that that if Republicans put up a strong challenger, such as Gov. Brian Sandoval, Harry Reid may want to step off his high horse as Senate Majority Leader.
Sabato said, "Look, he's the most endangered Democrat on the ballot for Senate in 2016."
Reid has faced close calls in past elections, and Republicans will likely throw huge sums of cash into defeating the five-term senator.
Four of Reid's five winning Senate campaigns have been by single digits, with 1998 being the closest to being upset. That year, Reid beat out John Ensign by just 428 votes, or .10 percent of the total vote. In all four of Reid's tight races, he received no more than 51 percent of the popular vote.
"Harry Reid has squeaked through more times than any of the others. So, you know, at some point your luck can run out," Sabato said.
