Jedediah Bila Announces It's Her Last Day on 'The View'

Jedediah Bila announced Monday on ABC's "The View" that she is leaving the show to focus on writing a book.

Bila provided a conservative voice for the women’s talk show that predominantly features the liberal views of other hosts. She was previously a panelist of Fox News’ show "Outnumbered," where three female hosts talk with a rotating male guest.

"This is my last day at ‘The View,’" she announced on the show Monday. "I want to thank these ladies—what you don’t know about us is that we are really friends."

"I want to thank the viewers, even the ones who write me that hate-tweets," Bila also said. "This is what I’m here for, I’m there to shake things up—in life, in television."

Bila also announced an untitled book due out next year, which she wants to focus on writing.

"It’s an amazing concept that I think is going to shake up the world, especially the millennial generation," Bila said.

Co-host Joy Behar said that it has been great to have Bila because she disagrees with their liberal views and provides variety. The co-hosts praised Bila for never making disagreements personal and helping them to understand conservative and libertarian views better.

"I try to get as many libertarians in my corner as possible," Bila responded.

She also praised co-host and comedienne Whoopi Goldberg.

"Whoopi, I was a fan of yours long before I ever sat at this table, and I’ll be a fan forever, but you gave me a voice even when you didn’t agree with me," Bila said. "You let me say my piece, and that means more to me than anything."

"This has been a really great experience," Bila said. "Mostly, I just want to speak to the viewers and say, ‘We are nothing without you.’"

CNN reported Meghan McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.), is in talks to join "The View."
