Trump Advisor Larry Kudlow Leaves Hospital After Heart Attack

Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow has left the hospital after he suffered a minor heart attack on Monday.

The 70-year-old Kudlow was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland on Wednesday, the Hill reports.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders released a statement on Wednesday saying the administration was hoping to have Kudlow at work again soon.

"National Economic Council Director and Assistant to the President Larry Kudlow was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center earlier today," Sanders said. "Doctors say Larry's recovery is going very well. The President and the Administration are happy Larry is back home and look forward to seeing him back to work soon."

Kudlow's heart attack came following television appearances where he strongly criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for comments made at the end of the G7 (Group of Seven) Summit. The president announced the news of Kudlow's heart attack while he was in Singapore with other senior administration officials for a meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Kudlow, a former financial analyst who became the Director of the National Economic Council in April, is one of the president's most trusted advisors on economic affairs. The economic advisor previously worked in the Reagan administration.
