Jon Ossoff Can't Figure Out Where He Lives

Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff's home outside of Georgia's sixth congressional district seems to have moved half a mile in two months.

Ossoff, who cannot vote for himself in the special election race against Republican Karen Handel because of his address, has been consistently asked about the issue on the campaign trail.

Ossoff told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on April 18 that he lived a "mile and a half down the street" from the sixth district so his girlfriend could easily attend Emory Medical School.

On Monday, Ossoff told MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell he lived "two miles south" of the district.

But both claims are a far cry from a campaign volunteer telling Ossoff canvassers in May that the candidate lives "three blocks away from the district."

It is unclear if Ossoff's change in distance was prompted by Washington Free Beacon reporter Brent Scher. He painstakingly documented his two-hour journey on Monday to walk more than three miles from Ossoff's home to the sixth district.

Later that evening, Ossoff's campaign informed Scher he was not welcome to cover the candidate's remarks the night before the election.

President Donald Trump has endorsed Handel and tweeted about the race on Tuesday morning, hitting Ossoff again over his residence.
