Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris said a Biden-Harris administration would not raise taxes while at the same time saying tax cuts passed by Republicans would be eliminated.
"On day one, Joe Biden will repeal that tax code," Harris said about the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. "He’ll get rid of it. And what he’ll do with the money is invest it in the American people."
Harris also claimed that Biden would not raise taxes as president.
"Biden has been very clear, he will not raise taxes on anybody who makes less than $400,000 a year," Harris said.
Pence pointed out that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act reduced taxes for many who make less than $400,000.
"That was tax cuts that gave the average working family $2,000 in a tax break every single year," Pence said.
