Gore Compares Trump Admin to Gruesome 'Game of Thrones' Red Wedding Scene

Former Vice President Al Gore told MSNBC host Chris Hayes on Wednesday that the Trump administration is like the gruesome "Red Wedding" massacre scene in the HBO series "Games of Thrones."

Hayes rattled off Gore's resume to exhibit his bona fides, and asked him what it was like to watch the way the Trump administration functions.

"I think in the process the president has been isolating himself from the rest of the country. You see Republicans in the House and the Senate now moving to separate themselves in increasing numbers from the dysfunction and constant distractions in the White House," Gore said.

"Last week, somebody said [it] was like the 'Red Wedding' in 'Game of Thrones,' with people coming and going and, 'I'm going to fire everybody.' It was really wild," Gore continued.

Hayes followed up by asking whether Gore watches the chaos and thinks, "What the heck is going on?" like everyone else.

"Are you talking about 'Game of Thrones' or the White House?" Gore joked.

"Both, but the White House in this case," Hayes said while laughing.

Gore said the chaos is "deeply troubling," and that it serves as a set of "constant distractions" from the problems that the administration should be addressing.

The "Red Wedding" scene was a bloody massacre in which multiple characters on "Game of Thrones" were brutally murdered. The scene can be viewed below.
