Happy Birthday, Gov. Cuomo: Fundraiser to Feature Bill Clinton and Bon Jovi

Former President Bill Clinton and rocker Bon Jovi will headline a fundraiser for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on the Democrat's 60th birthday.

The star-studded affair will take place at a restaurant that's also the former home of the New York Stock Exchange, and attendees will pay as much as $50,000 for top seating, the New York Times reports. Cuomo  has previously had birthday fundraisers featuring singers Mary J. Blige and Billy Joel.

The Times obtained an invitation to the Dec. 14 event and printed what different gift levels will get for donors:

For $50,000, donors will receive a "premier table" for 10, plus three tickets to a private reception with Mr. Cuomo. Co-chairs are asked to donate $25,000 for a 10-person "preferred" table that includes two reception tickets.

Individual tickets are $1,000 for "general seating" at the event, to be held at the restaurant Cipriani Wall Street, which once housed the New York Stock Exchange and describes itself as "a triumph of Greek Revival architecture." There is also a $150 "young professional" ticket.

Cuomo has worked with Bon Jovi before on a campaign to raise the state's minimum wage, in addition to being a longtime ally of the Clintons. Cuomo raised money for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, and during the Clinton Administration, he served as housing secretary.

This money would be restricted to Cuomo's re-election campaign, although he is considered a possible presidential candidate in 2020. He has dodged questions about whether he intends to run.

Cuomo has been a prolific fundraiser, even though he has not seen any serious challengers to his reelection emerge. However, Cuomo did announce this month that he would return all of the money he received from disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, a longtime friend of his and the Clintons'.
