One of Donald Trump's best-known campaign promises is building a wall at the southern border and getting Mexico to pay for it. It's such a favorite with his supporters that he's even started chants about it at his rallies.
Former Mexican president Vicente Fox isn't having it. He has repeatedly slammed Trump as being dangerous and foolish, and in an interview posted Thursday with journalist Jorge Ramos, he got vulgar while talking about it.
"I'm not going to pay for that fucking wall! He should pay for it. He's got the money," Fox said.
"Are you afraid that he's going to be the next President of the United States?" Ramos asked. "What would that mean for Mexico?"
"Not at all," Fox said, although he went on to say the Nevada caucus results worried him. Trump rolled to victory there and won 44 percent of Hispanics, although they made up a small overall percentage of the people voting in the caucus.
"I'd like to know who those Hispanics are, because they are followers of a false prophet," Fox said. "He's going to take them to the desert, and if they think that they will benefit with an administration led by Donald Trump, they're wrong."
Fox called Trump a "crazy guy."
"What is Trump?" Fox asked. "He's not a Republican. Absolutely not. Those are not the Republican principles. He is not a Democrat. He is just himself. He is egocentric."
Ramos had a famous run-in with Trump at a press conference last year, when he interrupted to ask questions about Trump's deportation policy and was escorted out by security. He later returned to ask his question, and Trump answered.
