CBS: Obamacare Rollout Has Been a Complete Disaster

Dissatisfaction with the Obamacare website is growing as uninsured Americans try to access the website, still encountering technical problems on it more than two weeks after its launch.

CBS Correspondent Jan Crawford shed some insight into the matter: there are no records of how many Americans are enrolled, and journalists’ best efforts to scour the nation for somebody successfully enrolled are proving to be futile.

Crawford reported that members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee are launching an investigation to find out what went wrong. President Obama is conceding that problems with the Obamacare website, which cost $634 million to develop, are more grave than he had first admitted.

Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, President Obama acknowledged the errors, saying: "The website that was supposed to do this all in a seamless way has had way more glitches than I think are acceptable."

This is a far different story than the one President Obama told two weeks ago, at the time comparing the healthcare rollout to the launch of a new iPhone. At the time, he said that Apple had not stopped selling iPhones despite the glitches at its launch.

Two weeks after its launch, the Obamacare website glitches have not been fixed. It's not just Americans who are growing weary with the Obamacare fiasco- his closest allies, including his former Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, are expressing their outrage with the incompetency of the Obamacare rollout, saying that someone should be fired. While Gibbs declined to suggest specific names of individuals to fire, all signs point to Kathleen Sebellius, Health and Human Services Secretary, who has come under much heat by critics, including comedian Jon Stewart.

With reports of angry Americans unsuccessfully attempting to enroll and few success stories, the administration has remained mum when pressed for numbers on how many people have been able to enroll.
