Hillary Clinton Touts 'Path to Victory' at Martha's Vineyard Gathering of 'Jews Against Coups'

Failed candidate and Jewish Democrats 'discussed every issue but Israel'

Gone are the days when Hillary Clinton could bank $250,000 for a one-hour speech to the Drug, Chemical, & Associated Technologies Association. Nevertheless, she persists.

The failed presidential candidate was the guest of honor last month at a Martha's Vineyard gathering hosted by the Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA), aka "Jews Against Coups," a group that touts itself as "the only national organization combining Jewish values advocacy with a Democratic political agenda."

Clinton, who donned a bold pant-suit and jacket combo, discussed "the importance of electing Democrats with the strong support of Jewish voters" and "made clear that Democrats have a path to victory in November." (Note: There is no evidence to support this claim.)

The group's CEO, Halie Soifer, praised Clinton as "the gutsiest woman I know" and also expressed confidence that Democrats would maintain control of Congress after the midterm elections. "We know we can win this election because Democrats are aligned with our values and on the right side of history, and Republicans have become the party of extremists," Soifer wrote in a note to supporters.

Soifer's note made no mention of Israel or America's support for the Jewish state in the face of mounting threats and the increasing prevalence of anti-Semitism at home and abroad. According to a prominent Jewish Democrat who summers on Martha's Vineyard but was not invited to see Hillary's speech, that's because "there is nothing Jewish about the [JDCA]."

Hillary and the Jewish Democrats in attendance "discussed every issue but Israel" at the gathering, which took place just days after President Joe Biden's widely publicized visit to the Jewish state, former Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz said.

"Not a word about Israel. Not a word about Iran. Not a word about [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez]. Not even a word about the Democratic Party drifting away from Israel," said Dershowitz, who described JDCA as a "group of progressive Democrats who happen to be Jewish" and lamented its refusal to "prioritize Israel, anti-Semitism, or other issues of direct concern to the Jewish community."

The Democratic Party's anti-Semitic elements were on full display earlier this week, when "Squad" acolyte Nina Turner fumed that "AIPAC bought another seat" following anti-Israel congressman Andy Levin's loss in the Michigan Democratic primary. Days before the JDCA hosted Clinton on Martha's Vineyard, the Washington Free Beacon reported on an activist ally of Rep. Cori Bush (D., Mo.) who once expressed her desire to "set Israel on fire with my own hands & watch it burn to ashes along with every Israeli in it."
