Country Singer Toby Keith to Perform for All-Male Audience in Saudi Arabia During Trump Trip

Country singer Toby Keith will perform at an all-male event in Saudi Arabia that coincides with President Trump's trip to the Middle Eastern kingdom this weekend.

Keith, whose songs include "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" and "Whiskey Girl," is set to perform in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the Associated Press reported Thursday. Saudi entertainment website Lammt advertised the concert and said it will be free and feature an Arabian lute player. The event is open to men only and requires formal dress.

The concert will occur as Trump is in Riyadh on his first foreign trip as president. Saudi Arabia has invited several prominent figures, including Fox News host Bret Baier, and scheduled numerous events to "dazzle" Trump, according to the AP.

Saudi Arabia has recently relaxed its strict rules regulating entertainment, but alcohol–the subject of some of Keith's songs–is still banned in the country, and unrelated men and women are not allowed to appear together in public.

Music concerts had been banned in the country for the past two decades.

The White House has said that Trump will make a speech about Islam to leaders from across the Arab and Islamic worlds while in Saudi Arabia. Riyadh is the first stop of his foreign tour. The president will then travel to Israel and the Vatican, before attending a NATO leaders meeting in Brussels and a G7 summit in Sicily.
