High Times at The Intercept

Landing a job in journalism can be a drag, but former Steny Hoyer supporter Lee Fang has landed a heady new gig working with an accomplice of American fugitive Edward Snowden.

Once a budding young talent, Fang’s credibility has taken a hit in recent years due to his unfortunate habit of writing stories that his editors are forced to retract. However, The Intercept, a journalism startup known for its blunt approach to tackling the issues, decided not to pass on the opportunity to hire Fang, who is joining the outlet as an investigative reporter.

Intercept editor-in-chief Betsy Reed announced the hire in a post laced with high praise for the former Think Progress blogger. Intercept co-founding editor Glenn Greenwald also puffed Fang up on Twitter:

Greenwald has previously taken Fang to task for promoting "repellant" ideas.
