Talk show host and women's advocate Tina Brown says she was asked to produce an atonement series, starring disgraced CBS anchor Charlie Rose, for celebrities who have fallen from grace in the wake of sexual harassment and abuse scandals.
Brown, attending a women's luncheon in New York, said she had just been asked to be a part of a new show with Rose in which they’d interview Louis C.K., Matt Lauer, and other big names who have been at the center of sexual harassment scandals, according to a source who spoke to Page Six.
Brown not only rejected the offer but was outraged by the premise.
"These guys are already planning their comebacks!" she said at a women's luncheon, according to the source.
Brown confirmed to Page Six later that day that she had been approached about the show with Rose and said she was asked to produce it. When asked who is behind the series, she said "I can’t remember."
Rose was fired in November over allegations–which spanned decades–of unwanted sexual advances, lewd phone calls, walking around naked, and groping.
Vox reported that since Roses' firing, he has retreated to a large house outside New York with panoramic views of the water.
