Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) said Thursday morning that his Republican colleagues in the House of Representatives "shouldn't act like the Democrats did" while trying to pass an Obamacare replacement plan.
Cotton called on House Republicans via Twitter to discard their current bill to replace Obamacare and create an entirely new plan, Mediaite reported.
The senator's first tweet said the current bill, unveiled on Monday night, will not pass through the Senate unless there are major changes made to it.

The second message attacked his party for acting like congressional Democrats by passing a bill and starting a vote "with no budget estimate."

Cotton's final tweet emphasized the importance of ensuring an Obamacare replacement plan works in the long run.

The Arkansas Republican's tweets came after the House Ways and Means Committee debated the health care bill, known as the American Health Care Act, until about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. The committee voted 23 to 16 to advance the bill.
Democrats and some conservative Republicans and groups have come out against the bill to replace the Affordable Care Act.
President Donald Trump supports the plan and is urging conservative organizations to get on board with it.
