Donald Trump Speaks at 'Thank You' Tour in Hershey, Pa.

December 16, 2016

President-elect Donald Trump spoke in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Thursday night as a part of his ongoing "Thank You" tour throughout the country.

Trump started by telling the audience, "Merry Christmas everybody, Merry Christmas!" He then said that his main purpose in being there was to thank the people of Pennsylvania for helping elect him to the presidency.

"We made history together," Trump said. "You propelled to victory a grassroots movement the likes of which the world has never, ever seen."

Trump then alluded to how Pennsylvania helped push Trump past the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency, and how he surpassed it.

"Your drive, your dedication, and your love for your country pushed us across the finish line, and boy, did we get across that line, right?" Trump said.

"The patriots in this arena tonight stood up for themselves and for their families and showed the whole world that the American people still run our country," the president-elect continued.

Trump also took a swipe at White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, who has gone after the president-elect more aggressively in recent days.

Trump has only two more stops left on his tour. He will speak in Orlando, Florida on Friday and in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday.
