Fox News contributor Ralph Peters called NSA leaker Edward Snowden a "stateless man" Monday on The O'Reilly Factor, saying Russia would use him for his information but not give him asylum, and no other countries wanted Snowden because he's a liability:
BILL O'REILLY: What do you think Putin is going to it do? Number one, why is he giving us jazz on this and, number two, what's ultimately going to happen?
RALPH PETERS: Well, Putin is having a great time jerking Obama's chain. There is no question about that. He loves to do it. He's playing the national card, but Putin is not going to give Edward Snowden asylum. The Russians are downloading all the intelligence he's got. They are questioning him. Snowden is trying to make him happy, I'm sure, because he wants asylum. But for Putin, once the Russians have the intelligence, same as the Chinese, Snowden's just a liability. The Chinese downloaded his computers, told him to hit the road. Putin's going to hang on a little longer, question him, but eventually he'll move him on because Snowden is a liability. Bill, here's the bottom line. Edward Snowden, the NSA leaker, thought the world was going to declare him a hero and welcome him with open arms and kiss him. He is a stateless man. Nobody wants him. Even the president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, was talking big. He's backing off.
