White House communications director and Donald Trump confidant Hope Hicks announced her resignation on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump congratulated millions of his supporters on Twitter on Wednesday, the one-year anniversary of the 2016 presidential election, calling them “deplorables” as a dig at Hillary Clinton for using the term to classify half of his supporters.
White House communications director Hope Hicks is scheduled to speak next month with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of investigators.
Hope Hicks will officially become White House communications director after holding the position on an interim basis.
President Donald Trump offered Hope Hicks the White House communication director role and she has accepted the position, according to a White House insider, although it is reportedly on an interim basis.
