Liberal Washington Post blogger Greg Sargent cited two Democratic supporters as "nonpartisan" experts in his recent post "Experts: Mitt Romney’s returns could show he paid very low tax rates."
Sargent cited George Yin, a University of Virginia professor of tax law, in the anti-Romney piece.
Yin has donated $500 to Democratic Virginia Senate candidate Tim Kaine this election cycle.
Yin has contributed at least $5,500 since the 2008 election cycle, all to Democratic candidates. He also maxed out during the 2008 general election with a $2,300 contribution to the Obama campaign.
Yin also contributed to the congressional campaigns of former Democratic U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello. Perriello received an "F" on national security from Keep America Safe. He is now the president and CEO of the Center for American Progress Action Fund.
Sargent also cited New York University taxation professor Daniel Shaviro.
According to Sargent, Shaviro "supports Obama but is a nonpartisan tax analyst."
Shaviro’s blog consistently criticizes and attacks Romney to a far greater extent than it does Obama.
