Trump: You Have to Vote Even if Your Wife Falls in Love With Another Man and Leaves You

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump challenged New Hampshire voters Monday night to vote in the state's Tuesday primary no matter what adversity life may throw at them, even if they are on their death beds or if their spouses fall in love with someone else and leave them.

"Tomorrow you have to get out and you have to vote no matter what," Trump told a large crowd of supporters at a campaign event.

"I say it all the time," Trump continued, "if you're sick, if you're really like you can't move, you're close to death [and] your doctor tells you it's not working, your wife is disgusted with you [and] said, ‘I'm leaving.’ No matter what she says, ‘Darling, I love with you, but I've fallen in love with another man."

"I don't give a damn. You gotta get out to vote," Trump concluded.

The real estate mogul's remarks drew laughs and applause from the enthusiastic audience.

Trump maintains a double-digit lead in the polls going into primary day and is expected to the win the state after losing the Iowa caucus, which somewhat hindered his momentum in the race. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) won the caucus, and Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), who was polling in a distant third heading into the race, finished just one point behind Trump.

It is unclear to what extent Trump supporters are deathly ill or having marital problems, but his words may inspire those going through such difficult times to vote for him on Tuesday.
