Donald Trump addressed his supporters after another huge night for the GOP frontrunner, celebrating victories in Florida, Illinois and North Carolina and expanding his delegate lead in his bid for the Republican nomination.
Trump routed Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) in the latter's home state, leading to Rubio announcing a suspension of his campaign Tuesday evening. That leaves just Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who won Ohio, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), who has won the second-most states, to battle Trump for the nomination.
Trump hit his usual stump speech notes about winning more and making better trade deals, and he urged Republicans to rally behind him.
"We have to bring our party together. We have to bring it together. We have something happening that actually makes the Republican Party probably the biggest political story anywhere in the world," he said. "All over the world, they're talking about it. Millions of people are coming in to vote ... I'm looking at the polling booths ... The lines are four, five, six blocks long."
Trump touted Democrats, independents and people who've never voted before who were coming out to support his campaign. At one point during his speech, he complimented the work of campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who has been embroiled in controversy after being accused of manhandling a female reporter last week.
