Chuck Todd Roasts Obamacare Website: 'Unbelievable' They 'Blew It This Badly'

MSNBC host Chuck Todd ripped the Obamacare website's major glitches Monday on The Daily Rundown, wondering how the administration "blew it this badly" on its signature legislation.

"By any measure, it was a rough first week for enrollment under the Affordable Care Act," he said. "The Obama administration is trying to stress the positive, claiming at least nine million visitors checked out the website before it went down for maintenance Friday night, but web traffic problems like this are undermining the entire process."

Todd did not hold back as he asked the National Journal's Ron Fournier how the site had been fouled up so badly, plagued by error messages, delays and glitches.

"Ron, the candidate and campaign that brought us the most technologically advanced campaign in history in touching millions of people blew it this badly on this, their biggest, most important government outreach?" he said. "It's unbelievable. Of all administrations to blow this, the one that's so technologically advanced."

Todd also sharply criticized the White House's claims to not know how many people have enrolled in Obamacare yet, although it has trumpeted the number of visitors to the site.

"This little game that they claim web traffic but they don't know how many people signed up," Todd said. "If they don't know how many people signed up, what's wrong with them? How do they not know? That actually is a sense of incompetence."

The site's problems were even skewered by Saturday Night Live's satirical "Weekend Update" sketch.
