Scarborough to Trump: Stop Watching Morning Joe and Start Watching SportsCenter, Because You're Acting Crazy

July 25, 2017

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough addressed President Donald Trump directly on Tuesday, advising him to start watching ESPN's "SportsCenter" rather than "Morning Joe" because his television habits were making him "act crazy."

Scarborough went off after Trump, in the middle of a Tuesday morning tweet storm, wrote that acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe was biased because of his connections to Hillary Clinton.

Co-host Mika Brzezinski read out the tweet, and Scarborough laughed, recalling that Trump put McCabe up as a potential finalist to be the FBI director to replace James Comey.

"Someone needs to run into his bedroom and grab the phone," Brzezinski said.

Scarborough said to note the date, July 25.

"Circle it on your calendar. This guy is spinning wildly out of control," he said.

Scarborough then leaned forward to the camera, took off his glasses, and began speaking to Trump directly.

"I know you never watch this show, Donald, but whatever show you're watching is making you crazy," he said mischievously, as his panelists laughed.

Trump and the show have feuded publicly in recent months. The relationship, which was once cozy between Trump and the hosts, has bottomed out in the aftermath of Trump's tweets personally attacking Scarborough and Brzezinski. The hosts have themselves questioned Trump's mental fitness for office.

"I don't think you're crazy, but it's making you act crazy," Scarborough said. "So you really need to turn to 'SportsCenter,' and you need to stop watching, because these tweets make you look really bad."

I'm 100 percent serious, Scarborough added, that Trump should stop watching "Morning Joe."
