Rangel: Obama Diversity Record ‘Embarrassing as Hell’

Rep. Charlie Rangel (D., N.Y.) said Thursday the Obama White House's record on appointing women and minorities to key positions "speaks for itself" and is "embarrassing as hell" in an interview with MSNBC.

The White House has taken heat this week after the nominations of Sen. John Kerry (R., Mass.), adviser John Brennan, and former Sen. Chuck Hagel to key national security positions, the departure of Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, and the circulation of a photo online that showcased President Barack Obama being advised in the Oval Office by a large group of male officials and Valerie Jarrett's leg.
