A Planned Parenthood Twitter account recently attacked a President Donald Trump judicial nominee in part because of the color of his skin.
The official account for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the advocacy arm of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, tweeted on Monday an image of Kyle Duncan, a Washington, D.C.-based lawyer tapped by Trump to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
"Trump's tendency to nominate more white judges is having a noticeable effect in the courts," the pro-abortion organization tweeted, along with "#CourtsMatter."

The tweeted image contained a list of reasons Planned Parenthood opposes Duncan's nomination, primarily tied to his former work at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and for representing Hobby Lobby in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby. The Hobby Lobby case, which the company won in a 5-4 ruling, addressed the question of whether the Religious Freedom Act of 1993 allows a business to refuse to provide contraception to its employees based on the owners' sincerely held religious beliefs.
Planned Parenthood sent a similar tweet several weeks earlier, noting that Duncan was "straight" and "cisgender"

Both tweets linked to a USA Today story lamenting that 92 percent of Trump's judicial nominees to date have been white, compared to 62 percent from Barack Obama. Trump has the second highest percent of white judicial nominees among presidents since the 1980s, a rate lower than Ronald Reagan (94 percent) and slightly above George W. Bush (82 percent) and George H.W. Bush (88 percent).
