Perez and Biden at Odds Over Whether Clinton Was a Good Candidate

BY:

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez and former Vice President Joe Biden do not agree on whether Hillary Clinton was a good presidential candidate.

Biden revealed on Thursday night how he felt about Clinton, saying, "I never thought she was a great candidate. I thought I was a great candidate."

But Perez said during an MSNBC appearance on Friday that he and former President Barack Obama both thought that Clinton was "one of the most qualified candidates in history."

"President Obama said several times during the course of the campaign, ‘Hillary Clinton is one of the most qualified candidates in history’ and I agree with that," Perez said.

MSNBC host Katy Tur then followed up by asking if Biden was one of the most qualified candidates.

"So Joe Biden's not one of the most qualified candidates?" Tur asked.

"No," Perez answered.
