Panel Rips Into Fashion Insiders for Bullying Tiffany Trump

February 15, 2017

The panel of ABC's "The View" ripped into fashion insiders on Wednesday for bullying First Daughter Tiffany Tump by purposefully moving their seats at a fashion show then posting photos of her sitting alone.

"Elle Magazine senior fashion editor tweeted that she and other editors changed their seats so they weren't near the first daughter, Tiffany Trump," co-host Whoopi Goldberg said. "There were also photos posted of Tiffany with empty seats next to her."

Goldberg said that she would find Trump at the next show and sit next to her, and then laid into Elle Magazine for bullying her.

"She doesn't want to talk about her dad," Goldberg said. "She's looking at the fashion and for Elle Magazine, a magazine that says it's a woman's magazine, to do this–but still, the bad apples have represented themselves as Elle."

Co-host Joy Behar jumped in to defend Trump even more, saying that unlike sister Ivanka Trump, Tiffany is not involved in her father's policy talks.

Sara Haines, another co-host, called the behavior "bullying," because the fashion insiders are picking on Trump solely because of her last name.

The people that did this are "mean girls," she said.

"It's almost like we live in a time where people are saying, 'because it's a Trump, it's ok to bully her,' because like bragging about this online and saying, 'look, she has no one to sit by her,'" Haines said. "That's being a mean girl just for sport."

"I just don't understand why they would do that," co-host Sunny Hostin said.

"It was mean," Goldberg agreed, reiterating that she would sit next to Tiffany Trump if she saw her at a show.
