Morning Joe Hits Elizabeth Warren for 'Leading on Anger'

November 29, 2016

MSNBC's Morning Joe hit Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) for "leading on anger" and not realizing that a large portion of the country opposes what Warren says.

"Do you lead on anger, though?" Brzezinski asked. "Because that doesn't seem very constructive to me. I gotta tell you, I love her, I'm getting tired of this act."

After playing a clip of Warren speaking on the Senate floor, a distressed looking co-host Mika Brzezinski, then the panel began to discuss Warren's rising leadership role within the Democratic Party.

Co-host Willie Geist said that Warren's role was to oppose President-elect Donald Trump and represent those who believe Trump is a "disaster for the country," but Brzezinski hit back that a large portion of the country doesn't feel that way and supports Trump.

"Yeah, well, you know what? There's a huge part of the country that doesn't think so and she might want to be a little inclusive because she is sounding like the people she is accusing of as being exclusive," Brzezinski said.

"I mean, she's just got to stop. I'm sorry, it's getting exhausting and this was not helpful during the campaign, it wasn't," Brzezinski continued. "There's an anger there that was shrill and a step above what it needed to be, unmeasured and almost unhinged."
