Mika Gets Emotional: 'It Will Be Incredibly Beautiful Thing' to See Hillary Clinton Be Herself

May 10, 2016

Morning Joe's liberal co-host Mika Brzezinski got a little emotional Tuesday morning when talking about Hillary Clinton and her husband's scandals.

"She shouldn't underestimate the value of vulnerability and the value of just being herself," Brzezinski said. "I have a feeling that that's the only way to deal with it, and it will be [an] incredibly beautiful thing to see."

Brzezinski said the issue is an "uncomfortable" story to cover and the public will never know what Clinton is personally going through.

"There is something unanswered and unspoken over decades about that time," Brzezinski said. "And that's why it's an incredibly, could be, will be, an incredibly powerful attack on her."

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has started to attack Clinton for her husband's cheating scandals, calling her an enabler, and he said in a Sunday morning interview that Bill Clinton is fair game if he is part of the campaign.

Earlier in the segment, MSNBC correspondent Kasie Hunt talked with a group of Republican women about their views on Trump and possibly voting for Clinton. A few of the women said they could not comment on the Clintons' relationship and could not blame Hillary for her husband's infidelity.

Clinton has been criticized throughout the campaign for not appearing authentic, but she confirmed last fall to CBS anchor John Dickerson that she is indeed a "real person."

The Morning Joe crew has also tried to reassure the public that Clinton is really likable and that they like her as a person.
