Heritage Action, the grassroots activism arm of the Heritage Foundation, has launched a new website—whattoexpect2016.com—that will provide a conservative policy battle plan to counter the left’s agenda in the upcoming general election.

The group said voters are looking for leadership and it’s up to the political candidates to present serious solutions that work for all Americans.

"Americans’ dissatisfaction with government is a reflection of the fact that our current political system is one that favors the powerful at the expense of those striving to build toward the American Dream," the group states. "While voters face a difficult challenge this election cycle, there is no doubt that the nation is ready for leaders who will address concerns about the relationship between mobility, economic dynamism, concentrated power, and collusion between special interests and government."

Michael Needham, the chief executive officer of Heritage Action, said the overwhelming public sentiment is that politicians are not working on behalf of the American people.

"Many in the media have equated this election to a ‘dumpster fire’ but in reality Americans’ frustration with Washington is on full display," Needham said.
"Whether you believe America is undergoing a political realignment or simply enduring a brief upheaval, there is no doubt that the systemic failure of our nation’s political class has led to a complete collapse of confidence."

"There will be no mandate to govern without leadership, and our job at Heritage Action is to ensure conservative policy is elevated, advanced, and defended over the next three plus months to make a conservative mandate possible," he said.
