Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) was able to hold his own in a push-up contest against a reporter on Monday.

The 83-year-old chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee went against Bloomberg's Kevin Cirilli.

Although Grassley was not going as fast as Cirilli, the senator did very well by any standards for an octogenarian, completing 25 push-ups with Cirilli.

"Iron Senator!" Cirilli said as he stood up afterward. "That was impressive. That was very impressive."

In a tweet with a video of the end of the duel, Cirilli said that Grassley had challenged him after the senator did a television interview with Cirilli.
