Feinstein, Ranking Dem on Judiciary Committee, Will Vote Yes on FBI Nominee Wray

BY:

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.), the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will vote "yes" on Christopher Wray, President Donald Trump's nominee for FBI director.

"I'm going to vote yes," Feinstein told reporters in a gaggle immediately following Wray's confirmation hearing before the committee.

"I see him as being a good FBI director," she said. "How good? The proof's always in the pudding. It's always when you're there. It's always in the nature of the job and how you handle the unexpected."

"But I think in this man, we have somebody who understands the process of justice, who is committed to the appropriate and positive process, is committed to the law, the Constitution, and the people, and does not look at himself as a servant of the chief executive," she said.

Feinstein is not the only Democrat supportive of Wray. Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) said he was "impressed" by Wray's confirmation hearing.
