Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said Monday the campaign had "no problem" with Vice President Joe Biden's controversial "chains" comment earlier Monday.
Biden, speaking to to supporters at a campaign event in Danville, Va., said that Republicans would "put y’all back in chains."
"Is the bottom line that the president agrees with Joe Biden's sentiments, but not his comments?" Andrea Mitchell asked Cutter in a sit-down interview.
"The bottom line is that we have no problem with those comments," Cutter responded. "Those comments, and the full context of them."
The Romney campaign responded to the vice president's comments Monday, calling them "not acceptable."
