A new Hillary Clinton fundraising email seeks money in order to "fight like hell" against Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

With Clinton the all-but-certain Democratic nominee for president, she would face Trump in what promises to be a memorably contentious battle this fall.

"Your donation is about more than money," Hillary for America communications director Christina Reynolds wrote. "It’s your way of saying you’re ready to fight like hell to make sure Donald Trump never becomes president."

Trump became the presumptive Republican nominee after Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) dropped out in light of Trump's Indiana victory on Tuesday. Ohio Gov. John Kasich will reportedly do the same later on Wednesday.

The letter reads in full:

Friend --

This is really happening -- last night, Ted Cruz, the final Republican who had a fighting chance of stopping Donald Trump, dropped out of the race. And John Kasich's campaign is saying he'll drop out later today, too.

Trump is going to be the Republican nominee. And if he wins the White House, he could erect a wall on the Mexican border, put women in jail for having abortions, and ban Muslims from coming to our country -- and those are just some of the ideas we know about so far.

16 Republicans tried and failed to stop Trump -- now it’s up to us.

Are you in? Your donation is about more than money. It’s your way of saying you’re ready to fight like hell to make sure Donald Trump never becomes president (and when you make your first donation today, we’ll send you a free sticker so you can show off your Team Hillary pride).

A new CNN/ORC poll shows Clinton 13 points ahead of Trump nationally, her largest lead since last summer. Trump, however, also began his Republican bid as a long shot, but he methodically took out all 16 other competitors.
