Clinton Again Denies Misconduct With Private Email Server: 'Nothing That I Did Was Wrong'

Hillary Clinton again denied any misconduct with her private email server as secretary of state at Monday's CNN town hall, telling host Chris Cuomo "nothing that I did was wrong."

Clinton has been hammered with revelations about her server and mishandling of classified information since her use of the private email came to light last March. The latest reports allege Clinton had emails from the most secret, classified programs in government on her unsecured server while secretary of state.

Last year, she repeatedly refused to apologize before finally relenting and saying she was "sorry" for using a private server in a September interview with ABC's David Muir.

Cuomo brought up the email saga when he quoted the Des Moines Register's endorsement of Clinton that also criticized her for not owning up to her email mistake sooner.

"I had no intention of doing anything other than having a convenient way of communicating, and it turned out not to be so convenient," Clinton said. "Again, we've answered every question, and we will continue to do so, but maybe being faster, trying to scramble around to find out what all of this means, I probably should have done that quicker."

"You're willing to say it was an error in judgment, you should have apologized sooner?" Cuomo asked.

"No, I"m not willing to say it was an error in judgment because nothing that I did was wrong," Clinton said. "It was not in any way prohibited."

"Not apologizing sooner, I mean," Cuomo said.

Clinton said that it took time to "get all the facts," hence the delay in her owning up to being wrong about using the email, and she boasted about her transparency in allowing her emails to be viewable for the public. She didn't mention the 30,000 messages she wiped off the server.

"I'm happy people are looking at the emails," Clinton said. "Some of them are frankly a little embarrassing. You find out that sometimes I'm not the best on technology and things like that. Look, I think it's great. Let people sort them through, and as we have seen, there is a lot of interest, but it's something that took time to get done."
