Charlie Rose Declares Ruth Bader Ginsburg 'One of My Favorite People'

"CBS This Morning" host Charlie Rose on Wednesday teased an interview he did the night before with liberal Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by calling her "one of my favorite people."

Rose spoke to Ginsburg, a progressive darling who President Bill Clinton nominated to the high court in 1993, at the 92nd Street YMCA in New York City in a wide-ranging interview.

"Turning now to one of my favorite people, Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is speaking out about the country's biggest challenges and its strengths," Rose said.

During the interview, Ginsburg said she had "no doubt" that sexism played a role in Hillary Clinton's election defeat at the hands of Donald Trump.

"Did you think that it was decisive?" Rose asked. "In other words, if Hillary Clinton had been a man, she would have that election going away."

"There's so many things that might have been decisive, but that was a major, major factor," she said.

After playing the clip, Rose spoke glowingly of Ginsburg's famed workout routine and noted she was "84 and going strong."

Things got a bit awkward when fellow CBS host Norah O'Donnell spoke of Ginsburg's late husband, Martin, in the present tense.

"I love that her husband makes all of her meals for her and has them packed up for her for the week ahead," O'Donnell said. "She's just great."

"He was a great chef. He died in 2010, but a great man who cooked everything," Rose said.

"She is incredible," O'Donnell added.
