'Can you name one thing the president has done to help remove 'weapons of war' from our streets?'

Pressed Monday by ABC correspondent Jake Tapper, White House press secretary Jay Carney was unable to name one measure taken by the administration to address the presence of “weapons of war” and gun violence.

“Can you name one thing the president has done to help remove ‘weapons of war’ from our streets?” Tapper asked Carney, referring to President Barack Obama’s debate comments earlier this year.

“There’s no question, Jake, that the scourge of gun violence is a question that has not sufficiently been addressed,” Carney responded.
