Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Richard Carmona failed to vote in the 2010 general election despite claims to KTVK-TV 3 he sent in an absentee ballot.
The Washington Free Beacon has obtained Carmona’s official voter file. According to the voter file, Carmona failed to vote in the 2010 and 2002 general elections.
In 2005, the Arizona Republic reported that Carmona also failed to vote in the 1990 and 1992 general elections.
Carmona has claimed that he did not vote in primary elections because he was an independent until switching to the Democratic party to run for Senate. It is unclear if being an independent also prevented him from voting in four general elections over the last twenty-two years.
